 On January 13, 2006 Dr. Kitzhaber and The Foundation for Medical Excellence launched The Archimedes Movement – committed to building a meaningful opportunity for engagement through which the growing concern over our health care system can be channeled into effective action.
The Archimedes Movement, by creating opportunities for community engagement, provides a vehicle through which the growing concern over the U.S. health care system can be channeled into effective action - not only in creating the vision for a more equitable and sustainable system – but also in building the tension necessary for the realization of that vision. The movement serves as a catalyst to drive the national debate on this subject that we so desperately need. Through that energy we've launched WeCanDoBetter.org.
